Sawmill Labourer (Full-time)

We are seeking an experienced sawmill laborer to join our team at Longhouse Specialty Products located in Parksville to start immediately. The ideal candidate will have experience working in and around a sawmill, a class five drivers license, and a forklift ticket and experience is preferred.

This job is physically demanding, and requires someone with a solid work ethic/history who is able to follow instructions and work in both a team environment and independently.

Some of the job duties include pulling orders, tailing, packaging orders, re-saw work, and pre-staining lumber. We are a full-service lumber manufacturing facility processing logs from break down, kiln drying, re-sawing, moulder/planning and pre-staining. At times when there are production deadlines we expect that you will sometimes be able to work overtime to fulfil orders.

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Dependent on experience

Schedule: 8 hour shift, 5 days a week
